Mom life 👩🏼👦🏼👧🏼 Blast from the past to remind you that MOST days we are lucky to get 60 seconds alone to pee in peace 🤷🏼♀️ let alone enough time to eat (ie. shove food in our mouths) and workout! Usually we only have mere seconds between being summoned (again) by at least one child (or husband).
But because we are women (and we are amazing) we take it in stride…and become MASTER multitaskers.💁🏼♀️🙌🏼 Figuring out things like how to workout while simultaneously spending time and snuggling with our kiddos (teaching them that passing gas while Mom is lifting is a no-no😂). #KillingTwoBirdsWithOneStone
If you haven’t figured this out yet and are STILL being overtaken by the needs of others, don’t fret. It takes practice and patience…and a lot of trust that your world won’t fall apart when you start to care for yourself as much as you care for others.💛
Being “beneficially selfish” doesn’t mean you need to do a spa day once a week. No, it can be as simple as taking 5 minutes alone in your room each day, or even sacrificing a little one-on-one time with your kids to split your attention with a workout (like I am doing here). Being beneficially selfish means that you are taking time to care for the most important person in the world (YOU) so that you can THEN adequately care for those around you.
Don’t ever forget…you are no good to ANYONE of you aren’t good to yourself first.😘
